THE ORGAN AT ALL SAINTS, EDMONTON

(England, 1772; enlarged by Walker, 1867; rebuilt by Alfred Kirkland, 1905)

[The instrument was given by Samuel Spragg in 1772, but we don't know which of the Englands built it. At the time of his death in March 1776 he had an organ with Messrs England and Russell which he ordered his executors to sell. That could be an indication that the Edmonton instrument was built by the younger England.

The Spurling Notebooks indicate that it was a substantial 3-manual built for that particular church, so my guess is that the pedal department was added when the instrument was enlarged by Walker's in 1867.]
