I have been actively involved with Church music making for almost 40 years: both as a chorister, organist and conductor, and composer/arranger. [My day job has been/is as a professional Research Physicist / Engineer / Entrepreneur.

1965-1970: Treble chorister in Wellington All Saints Church, Wellington, Shropshire [Organist/Dir. Mr. W M Smallman GBSM ARCO (now at St. Chad's Church, Shrewsbury, Salop) the Key Person in my early musical growth!]

1970-1976: Soprano/Baritone - St Mark's Church, Stambermill, Stourbridge, West Midlands (Organist/Dir: Mr Stanley Ward - now retired).

1974-1976: Deputy Organist, Lye Christ Church, The Lye, West Midlands.

1976-1982: Bass/Baritone Chorister and deputy organist in:

- St Aldate's Church Choir, Oxford (Music Dir: Mr John Oxlade MA FRCO, now at St Michael at the Northgate in Oxford)

- Wellington All Saints Church,

- Accompanied college evensong - Oxford Cathedral, Christ Church, Oxford. [By the way, please check this excellent music site: The Clerks of Christ Church.]

1982-1988: Part-time chorister/organist - Anglican Church Geneva, Switzerland.

1988-1998: Chorister/Organist/Conductor in various parish church choirs, including St John's Hook, Hampshire, St Botolph's, Hadstock.

1997-2002: Director of music - All Saints, Longstanton Cambridge (see also St Michael's Longstanton). Formed and trained choir from scratch from enthusiastic local singers many of whom did not read music, eventually performing a capella pieces such as Tavener's The Lamb with confidence in public services/concerts. Great support from the Rector Rev. Geoff Lay MA (now Rector of St. Peter's Church, Chailey, Sussex), and organist Mr Paul Ingle.

2002-Present: Chorister and Part time Organist St Peter's Church, Noss Mayo, Devon.
